About the job:
In this exciting role as a Manufacturing Technician, you will be both the manager of the workshop and the executor of workshop tasks. The tasks are highly varied, including sheet metal work, bench work, drilling, milling, welding, turning, and small-scale assembly assignments. You will receive assignments from the engineers on the team, with each task being different from the last. This role also offers you the flexibility to organize your work as you see fit! About the team:
Part of Thales SIX Huizen is the Hardware Engineering department, which consists of approximately 35 FTEs. The primary task of this department is the development of new products for both the mechanical and electronic parts. The department is also responsible for production preparations. Within the Hardware Engineering department, there is a workshop that supports both the engineering team in creating prototype models and the production department in making special tools. The workshop is a fully equipped facility with a wide variety of machines for both sheet metal and machining work.

You have an LBO or MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar position.
You are able to read mechanical engineering drawings.
You have gained practical experience in the mentioned tasks such as benchwork, turning, milling, drilling, and cutting.
You enjoy variation in your work and are particularly curious.
Additionally, you possess good communication skills and can work independently.
You are willing to expand your knowledge through training provided by Thales Netherlands
Holding a VCA certificate is preferred.
