As a sheet metal worker, you ensure that all components fit together precisely and are properly aligned. You must ensure that your work meets all construction requirements. This requires knowledge of lightweight structures and the ability to work systematically, carefully, safely, and according to regulations.

You will manufacture and process aluminum sheet material to create antenna components used in subsequent production processes. You will perform all common 2D and 3D operations. As a skilled professional, you will use templates, hand tools, conventional equipment, and various specialized tools in your work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling and mounting complex antenna systems, including both static and dynamic components.

  • Assembling fine mechanical large and small components for these antennas (e.g., doweling, pinning, drilling, shrinking, gluing, and sealing).

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a proactive, responsible, open team player with great communication skills in fluent Dutch and English who also has

  • Relevant vocational (MBO) education in mechanical engineering, construction, or all-round sheet metal working.

  • Training in the aircraft sheet metal industry is a plus.

  • Focus on structural solutions and the ensuring of their implementation.

  • Capability of assembling existing products and contributing to the development of new ones in close collaboration.

What you’ll gain:

Wherever your passion lies, Thales can help you make the best use of your skills and creativity. As a contractor at Thales, you can expect to experience:
