About the Role:
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting our migration to a new DevOps environment, enabling our teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively. Based in the Netherlands, you’ll collaborate with local software architects and our project manager for the digital transformation program. Your role will involve deploying, configuring, and optimizing new tools, as well as ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems. Hybrid working is expected, with at least two days per week at our office in Hengelo. Traveltime needs to be duable, about max 1-1,5 hour
Key Responsibilities:
Migrate and optimize tooling from legacy systems to modern solutions.
Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
Manage and deploy containerized applications with Docker and Podman.
Support version control and collaboration using GitLab.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across France and Romania, as well as with software architects in the Netherlands, to ensure effective tool usage and best practices.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in Linux systems and shell scripting.
Educational background or experience in software development.
Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Podman).
Working knowledge of GitLab for CI/CD pipeline management and source control.
Familiarity with Artifactory, Maven, and Bazel is a strong plus.
Experience in hybrid work environments and working with international teams is preferred.
At least 1-2 years experience as a devops engineer (not infrastructure)
