Say HI* to our Senior Software Engineer role

Thales designs state-of-the-art radar systems and optical sensors that are part of a complete and integrated defense system. The product portfolio ranges from small portable radars for border or asset monitoring to complex four-dimensional radars capable of detecting small objects at distances of hundreds to thousands of kilometers.

Within the software department, the Sensor Processing group is responsible for developing software that optimizes control and digital processing functions within the sensors. Multidisciplinary teams collaborate in this process, involving specialists in system engineering, functional sensor design, and the design and implementation of real-time systems.

About the Job

The Sensor Processing group develops the complete radar software. This includes various domains such as radar system control, organizing radar transmissions, and processing digital data streams. The ultimate goal is to detect and classify specific objects, such as aircraft and drones, track them, and display the results on an operator console.

The software architecture is designed to be highly modular, supporting the development of robust and evolving systems.

Development is carried out in Agile teams, supported by a modern development pipeline. The teams themselves are responsible for further developing and maintaining the architecture, the development pipeline, and the Agile process.
