Say HI* to our Radar Software engineer role

Thales designs state-of-the-art radar systems and optical sensors that are part of a complete and integrated defense system. The product portfolio ranges from small, portable radars for border or object surveillance to complex four-dimensional radars capable of detecting small objects hundreds to thousands of kilometers away.

Within the software department, the Sensor Processing group is responsible for software development related to optimal control and digital processing functions in sensors. This work is carried out in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with specialists in system engineering, functional sensor design, and the design and realization of real-time systems.

About the Job

The Sensor Processing group develops the complete radar software. This includes various domains such as radar system control, radar transmissions management, and processing of digital data streams. The ultimate goal is to detect and classify specific objects, such as aircraft and drones, track them, and display them on an operator console.

The software architecture is highly modular, supporting the development of robust and evolutionary systems. Development is done within Agile teams, supported by a modern development pipeline. The teams themselves are responsible for the further development and maintenance of the architecture, development pipeline, and Agile processes.

We are looking for an addition to the O2N team. O2N is a modeling and middleware suite for component-based software development for distributed and time-critical systems.

O2N ensures that sensor systems can be developed in a technology-agnostic way and that software development is standardized across different sensors. This approach allows sensor engineers to focus primarily on domain-specific software rather than technical software.
