As a Tactical Buyer you will be responsible for acquiring electronic components, coordinating and communicating with stakeholders. 

About the job:

As a Tactical Buyer, you will spend most of your time supporting our Engineering department from a Supply Chain/Tactical Buying perspective, ensuring a smooth design process. You will collaborate with the Procurement and Engineering departments to purchase and deliver the necessary components for new designs and modifications to existing designs, with a focus on timely delivery to customers.

Additionally, you will play a key role in the obsolescence process. This process ensures that we can continue delivering products despite the components they are built from no longer being available. By finding alternative components or redesigning, continuity is maintained.

You will coordinate between Engineering and Supply Chain to solve this complex puzzle.


In this role, you will gain exposure to many aspects of the activities in Huizen, providing opportunities for growth in various directions. The interaction from this role is primarily with the Sales & Marketing, Bids & Projects, Finance, Procurement, and Engineering departments.


The main tasks include:

  • Acquiring all necessary components (electronic and mechanical) for prototypes;

  • Coordinating engineering deliveries (Software/Hardware) with the physical goods flow;

  • Keeping track of all ongoing changes to maintain an overview;

  • Communicating this overview to minimize the impact on customer deliveries;

What you’ll bring:

You are structured, stress-resistant, detail-oriented, proactive, independent, and have good analytical skills. You have good communication and social skills. In addition:

  • You have experience as a buyer or planner with a manufacturer of electronic devices;

  • You have affinity with technology;

  • You have MBO/HBO (preferably in Electrical Engineering) level education (preferred);

  • You have solid knowledge of the electronic components market (preferred);
