The finance department of Thales Nederland consists of ~50 team members organized in 2 different competence centers (clusters):

  • Shared Services Accounting, Reporting & Controlling;

  • Bid & Project, Industrial and Procurement Control

Shared Services Accounting, Reporting & Controlling is responsible for accounting, reporting and controlling of departments and entities of Thales Netherlands. The cluster is also responsible for internal control, subsidy control and treasury activities. 

About the job:

As Financial Controller you will be responsible for financial and budgetary controlling activities in the team budgetary & subsidy control. Key tasks will be:


  • Responsible for budgetary control of several departments of Thales NL

  • Responsible for financial control activities (monthly reporting, forecasting and budgeting) of 2 entities of Thales NL

  • Responsible for several Thales NL reports

  • Responsible for periodic reports regarding Thales NL function costs

  • Participate in improvement projects (including new IT tooling)

  • Sparring partner for department managers


What you’ll bring:

We are looking for a pro-active & hands-on candidate with passion for Finance who likes to work in an informal and international environment. You are curious by nature and question current processes. The ability to work independently and proactively is a well-developed skill you have. You can tackle subjects on your own but you are also a team player and like to participate in improvement projects. Good communication skills are critical to your success in this role.


  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Finance and several years of work experience 

  •  Good English and (preferably) Dutch communication skills

  • You have financial knowledge regarding reporting, controlling and accounting 

  • You have good knowledge of MS Office and affinity with IT/ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
