Say HI* to our Configuration Engineer role

With over 100 engineers, we create information every day that ultimately becomes the recipe for building and maintaining our products. This knowledge is invaluable, and you will be the one ensuring that this information is properly documented, kept up-to-date, and made accessible to our employees and partners. This is crucial for our support organization, for instance, when materials are no longer available, and components need to be redesigned.

About the job

We use a modern system (Windchill), a program that helps manage the complexity of these tasks effectively.

Your Key Responsibilities in this job will include

  • assist engineers in accurately documenting data by providing training and day-to-day support.

  • support the setup and configuration of the tool (Windchill).

  • ensure changes are processed correctly.

  • propose improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

What you’ll bring

If you are a creative, open, flexible team player with great communication skills in fluent Dutch and English, then you might be the person we are looking for.

  • You have an MBO diploma (intermediate vocational education).

  • You have prior experience in an industrial company, preferably with a product supplier.

  • You enjoy structure and maintaining an overview.

  • You have demonstrable technical affinity (you’ll work alongside software and electronics specialists, and while you don’t need to understand their work in detail, it’s essential to quickly grasp what’s important).

  • You have broad knowledge. You’ll operate at the intersection of product development, purchasing, and production, so understanding what’s important to each of these areas is crucial.

  • You’re outgoing and easily build connections, as you’ll interact with all departments within the company.

What you’ll gain:

Wherever your passion lies, Thales can help you make the best use of your skills and creativity. As a contractor at Thales, you can expect to experience:

  • An interesting job within a team of experts in an international high-tech environment.

  • Room for and attention to personal development and personal initiative.

  • The opportunity to grow within the organization, whether in a technical, managerial, commercial or international capacity.

  • A flexible work environment with a focus on maintaining a good work-life balance.
