About the Team At the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering division, consisting of 170 experts, we develop and design cutting-edge hardware systems for multiple applications, such as search radars, fire control radars, and combat management equipment for our customers in both Naval and Ground-based domains. The department consists of Mechanical, Electrical, and Procured Parts Engineering teams, as well as our Environmental Competence Center. For the Eplan team we are Looking for a:Work package manager. About the job 


Currently Thales Hengelo is in the transition of replacing their Electrical Engineering tooling to the state-of-art tooling Eplan. The Work Package Manager Eplan is responsible for organizing the implementation of Eplan in our products and projects. The focus for this function is on organizing the work to be done in the transition, rather than doing technical in-dept activities. 

In this role you will be in contact with other Work Package Managers, Engineering Delivery Managers, Electrical and Mechanical engineers and Architects, and stakeholders in other departments, such as Services and Industry.

You will be working together with the Work package manager who is responsible for the Eplan platform introduction. In your role you will be responsible for implementing the products, projects and their building blocks on that platform. You report to line management and internal customer on the progress (budget and time), risks and issues of the running projects.

What You’ll Bring

•    Bachelor degree preferably in the field of electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar.

•    Project Management experience within an Engineering Company (high tech) is a must

•    Experience with implementing a CAD or CAE tool within an Engineering environment

•    You know how to motivate a team

•    You are pragmatic and complemented with project management skills; scope, stakeholder, resource and risk management and able to work in multidisciplinary teams;

•    You are able to define the requirements of the scope and together with specialists and/or (internal) customer and in case needed, you create a plan in order to be able to execute and manage the project;

•    Enthusiastic, flexible, creative, dynamic, pro-active and committed to execute projects to deliver the agreed scope within budget and time;

•    Good communication skills; you speak and write English, German and French proficiency is an advantage.

•    You are a team-player and consider it a challenge to develop product with colleagues from other disciplines
