Within Engineering, the Search Radar segment team is responsible for all engineering activities related to the development of our search radar and camera products and solutions: concept definition, system design, hardware/software development, system integration, verification, validation, and qualification. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Software Work Package Manager.

As a Software Work Package Manager, you will fulfill software project management roles for ongoing and new developments. You will work with software expertise teams that carry out part of the development. You will be part of the project management team, representing software development and collaborating closely with the other work package managers.

About the job

Your work will encompass the full spectrum of activities, from development to product realization of our most prestigious radar systems, with a focus on software development. As a Software Work Package Manager, you will be responsible for translating customer requirements into a development management plan, which will then serve as a guide for the execution of the various activities. Together with the Software Architect, among others, you will be responsible for organizing the work package, processes, and delivering within the given timeframe and budget. The Software Architect is technically responsible for the chosen technical solution and its implementation. To give an idea of ​​the scope of a work package, you should consider tens of thousands to over a hundred thousand hours that your teams must complete.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a new colleague who:

Has a completed technical Bachelor's or Master's degree. For example, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, or a similar field;

You have strong project management skills, preferably in software development, and experience in the high-tech industry or similar (preferably IPMA-C or D);

You have experience or knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

You are a team player with a strong commitment to achieving team goals together;

You have a can-do mentality: entrepreneurial, flexible, and open-minded;

You are enthusiastic and persistent with good communication skills;

You are a team player and an energetic person with a sense of leadership skills;

You speak and write fluent English and Dutch.
