Within Thales Netherlands, the Naval organization is responsible for the development, production, and support of radar, communication, and command & control systems for naval ships. Within the Supply Chain of the Naval organization, the Final Assembly department is responsible for delivering electronics for Thales Systems.

About the Job

As a Functional Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for testing, diagnosing faults, and coordinating the repair of electronic products. Your tasks will include drafting test procedures based on test specifications in consultation with the designer/system test engineer. You will also implement changes to existing test procedures in collaboration with the designer. Additionally, you will instruct repair colleagues on corrective actions arising from inspections performed. You are also responsible for reporting in the designated systems.

Working as a Functional Electrical Inspector covers a broad area within electrical engineering, including:

• Power supplies

• Digital technology

• Analog technology

• Fiber optics

• High frequency (1-35GHz)

• High power

• High voltage

What you’ll bring

If you are a creative, open, flexible team player with great communication skills in fluent Dutch and English, then you might be the person we are looking for.

• You have a vocational (MBO) education in electronics and experience or an affinity with testing electronic products.

• You describe yourself as a true team player—energetic, eager to learn, stress-resistant, and structured, with an eye for detail.

• Additionally, you have good fine motor skills.

• Knowledge of Basic/LabVIEW and RF is a plus.
