Within Thales Netherlands, the Naval organization is responsible for the development, production, and support of radar, communication, and command & control systems for naval vessels. Within the Naval Supply Chain, the Final Assembly department is responsible for the delivery of electronics for Thales Systems.

About the job

As a precision mechanic within the Aerospace & Building Blocks work cell, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical and electronic units according to drawings and procedures. You will report any deviations and be able to consult specifications and access and interpret (international) standards in the appropriate systems.

You will work in an ESD-safe, climate-controlled environment with an enthusiastic and professional team.

What you’ll bring

We are looking for a new colleague with:

• Completed MBO level 3 or 4 education in electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics; Ability to read and understand technical drawings;

• Good verbal and written communication skills;

• Good command of English and Dutch, both spoken and written;

• Experience with computers and familiarity with the Windows Office suite;

• You are a true team player, energetic, eager to learn, stress-resistant, and structured, with an eye for detail;

• Knowledge of IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-WHMA-620-CIS is a plus;

• Experience assembling electronic and mechanical components, including wiring, is a plus.
