Our expertise extends to seamless integration with sensor and weapon systems, alongside the creation of advanced sensor processing applications. You will be working within the software engineering department, and more specifically for the CMS (Combat Management System) infrastructure team.

About the job


As a DevOps Platform Engineer, you will develop in a multidisciplinary Agile team, that maintains, develops, and tests the infrastructure software platforms for combat management systems.

These development teams are responsible for the entire development chain - from requirements analysis, development, maintenance, patching, integration, deployment, testing, validation, to demonstrating the current status of the product.

Your role will be diverse, and flexibility is key.

We seek a talented DevOps Platform Engineer who excels in complex development of systems, has strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, and embodies a growth and agile mindset.


You have a capacity for continuous learning and are eager to stay up-to-date with industry trends.


Relevant Experiences:


·       Linux: Over 5 years of development experience. Red Hat certification is a plus.


·       Software Maintenance: Developed software across Operating System releases.


·       Infrastructure as Code: Developed in Ansible with Python, certification or demonstratable knowledge is a plus


·       Tools and Technologies: Experience with the following:


o   Programming languages: bash, python, willing to learn: c, c++.


o   Build pipelines and support tooling (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Maven, Jira).


o   Software containers & Kubernetes.


o   Confluence.


·       Network Technologies: Experience with network technologies (CCNA: Routing and Switching or equivalent is a plus).


·       IT Security: Experience with IT security practices and scanning tooling (e.g., OpenScap, Nessus).


·       Cloud native: Experience in containerization development is a plus.


·       Scaled scrum: experience is a plus.


  • You hold a bachelor or master degree in computer science, IT service management or comparable.

  • We expect you to possess fluent Dutch and English communication skills, both written and verbal.


The Must Have Technical Skills

  • Ansible (Software)

  • Git Distributed Version Control System

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

  • JIRA

  • Maven
