The Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team is a central team that facilitates the business reporting and analysis needs of the Thales Netherlands organization. The team consists of various data experts who deliver relevant and appropriate data and information solutions in close collaboration with business stakeholders. One part of EIM is the Business Intelligence (BI) team.

Are you a visionary IT professional with a passion for data and analytics? Do you want to play a key role in designing innovative BI solutions that enable strategic decision-making? Then we are looking for you as our new Solution Architect BI!

As a Solution Architect BI, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of high-quality BI solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and other architects to translate complex data challenges into scalable and robust systems.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop the technical architecture for BI solutions aligned with business strategy

• Advise on and select appropriate BI tools and technologies

• Document architectural decisions and guidelines

• Monitor compliance with standards and best practices in data and analytics

• Serve as a sparring partner for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Collaborate with development teams, particularly the BI development team and the Data Governance team

• Contribute to data governance and data knowledge (documentation, system mapping)

• Manage servers

• A completed HBO or university degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, such as BI Consultant, Data Architect, or Solution Architect

• Ability to create effective logical and physical data models and knowledge of dimensional modeling

• Extensive knowledge of BI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) and data warehousing concepts

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Python, and ETL processes

• Experience as a Database Administrator

• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, including IT infrastructure, software development, data science, and business intelligence, to ensure coherent solution design and implementation

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum, particularly in delivering BI in sprints

• Strong communication skills, both in Dutch and English

• A proactive attitude and the drive to continuously develop yourself and others
