About the job


Within the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering department, we are looking for an Writer with a Technical background to join the documentation team.

What will you do as a Technical Writer?The documentation team is responsible for all internal documentation, describing our way of work, technical standards, regulations and other technical describing documents.


As a Technical Writer, you develop this technical documentation. You collect the technical information, research technical specifications, use the knowledge of specialists from throughout the organization to write correct documents. You write and maintain clear text for engineers, assembly workers and other users of the documentation.


What you’ll bring


•    You have a technical background (electrical/mechanical) and/or affinity with technology.

•    You have recent experience as a Technical Writer or a similar position for at least 3 years

•    You have good communication skills, both oral and written.

•    You have excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbally and in writing.

•    You have the ability to write accurate, consistent, clear and concise English. 

•    Knowledge / experience in the field of STE (Simplified Technical English) is a plus.

•    Experience with a PLM system (Eg Windchill)

•    You are able to adapt/convert industrial standards to understandable information for our end users.

•    You are able to work independently, take initiatives, but also like to work in a team.


Also

•    You should be able to work and think in a structured way with strong analytical skills.

•    You should be stress resistant and proactive;

•    You are good at organizing and planning and can maintain a helicopter view.

•    You are able to read and understand (Technical) Dutch.
