Thales
Wiring and Product Interconnect Engineering LR08
Say HI* to our Electrical Engineer role
Within the MEE (Mechanical & Electrical Engineering) department, the Electrical Design team is responsible for the design and integration of all (electrical) subsystems that together form a
radar or battle management system. The products we design are used worldwide to build a future we can all rely on.
The development of these systems requires a multidisciplinary approach using state-of-the-art technology, initiative, and teamwork. Our products operate and are maintained under extreme
conditions. This requires us to think beyond the obvious and push the technical boundaries of components to meet these challenges.
Within this large organization, we have maintained our personal approach. We have a pleasant work environment, great colleagues, and are very flexible.
About the job
Together with multidisciplinary (lead) engineers, you will form the electrical backbone of one of our product groups. You will design and integrate subsystems and create electrical models that are used throughout our
entire organization, from specification, production, testing, integration, and customer documentation. These subsystems come together to create a high-tech radar or battlefield management system.
As an Engineer, you will be involved from start to finish to ensure that our products meet the high standards we set for them. We work primarily in Eplan, in conjunction with our PLM system, Windchill. Together, you will select the components used in our products, and we will provide guidance and support from technical experts who will help you define our products. We are always looking for ways to improve our processes and tools to ensure we work as efficiently as possible.
On a typical day, you will: Design electrical diagrams in Eplan. Consult with your Lead Engineer about requirements. Archive diagrams and bills of materials in our PLM system. Maintain your own schedule and help your colleagues meet our product schedule.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for a new colleague who has:
• A level-4 MBO, HBO, or WO diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Experience with E-plan.
• Ability to translate broad requirements and international (safety) standards into high-quality designs.
• Ability to balance perfection with pace. You deliver on time and within budget.
• Commitment to make the world a better place by building better products.
• Teamwork and initiative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
What you’ll gain:Wherever your passion lies, Thales can help you make the best use of your skills and creativity. As a contractor at Thales, you can expect to experience:
An interesting job within a team of experts in an international high-tech environment.
Room for and attention to personal development and personal initiative.
The opportunity to grow within the organization, whether in a technical, managerial, commercial or international capacity.
A flexible work environment with a focus on maintaining a good work-life balance.
