Say HI* to our Electrical Engineer role

About the job

As an Electrical Engineer, you will work together with multidisciplinary (lead) engineers on the electrical (sub)systems of our high-tech search and fire control systems. You are responsible for designing and creating electrical models for these (sub)systems. You ensure that your designs meet the required standards in various areas such as EMC, reparability, and testability. All of this is aimed at ensuring the high quality of our products.

You will work with an Eplan-based workflow and select the components used in our products. In doing so, we offer guidance and support from technical experts who will help you define our products. Together, we continuously strive to improve our processes and tools to work as efficiently as possible.

You will be involved in prototyping, building, and testing the subsystems you have designed, and you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to realize and qualify them.

Your daily tasks include designing electrical schematics in Eplan, discussing requirements with your lead engineer, and documenting your designs. You will plan your own work and help colleagues achieve product milestones.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field

  • Ability to balance perfection and speed, delivering on time and within budget

  • Knowledge of or interest in Eplan

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Ability to translate broad specifications and international (safety) standards into high-quality designs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English

What you’ll gain:

Wherever your passion lies, Thales can help you make the best use of your skills and creativity. As a contractor at Thales, you can expect to experience:

  • Room for and attention to personal development and personal initiative.

  • The opportunity to grow within the organization, whether in a technical, managerial, commercial or international capacity.
