Are you a proactive financial talent with a keen eye for improvement? Join our dynamic team in Eindhoven, where you'll lead accounts receivable and payable administration, contribute to analysis and reconciliation efforts, and spearhead our transition to a new ERP system. As a key player in our Finance team, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues from Thales Cryogenics and beyond.

In this financial role, you will take charge of the accounts receivable and accounts payable administration - from invoice processing to payment. Additionally, you will engage in various analyses, reconciling balance sheet items, and act as a backup for the financial controller. We are implementing a new ERP system, which is why we are looking for someone who can, on the one hand, carry out tasks in the outdated environment as efficiently as possible until the system is phased out - and, on the other hand, think of improvements to help prepare the department for the implementation of the new ERP system. So, besides your operational role, you will also contribute to elevating the team to a higher level! 

Key responsibilities:

• Invoice processing and obtaining approvals within the organization

• Accounts payable administration: processing incoming invoices, managing payments, being the contact person for suppliers regarding payments

• Accounts receivable administration: processing invoices, monitoring/following up on receivables from customers, payment processing

• Coordination regarding payment processing with the headquarter

• Month-end and year-end closing

• Supporting the financial controller with various tasks and acting as a backup

• Analysis/monitoring of various interim accounts (e.g., goods received/invoice received)

• Identifying/investigating/implementing improvements

The Finance team in Eindhoven consists of 3 people: a Financial Controller, a Finance Manager, and you. The team works closely with colleagues from the other departments of Thales Cryogenics. Additionally, the Finance team in Eindhoven is part of Finance Thales Netherlands, which offers opportunities to collaborate and brainstorm with colleagues from Huizen and Hengelo. 

You have a knack for noticing improvements and show initiative to implement them. Capable of structuring your own work, you take responsibility for completing tasks on time, accurately, and comprehensively. You work accurately, meet internal reporting deadlines, and ensure timely adherence to payment terms with suppliers. Additionally, you possess strong communication skills and can easily interact with different parties.

• You have an HBO level of thinking, a completed education in a financial field, and relevant work experience, preferably within a manufacturing company/industry.

• You enjoy doing operational work and have a hands-on mentality. You don’t mind working in an outdated ERP system (MFG Pro).

• You are analytically strong (proficient in Excel and preferably also in Access).

• You are self-reflective and aim to develop yourself further.

• You work at least 3 days in the office and a maximum of 2 days per week from home.

• Proficiency in Dutch and English is required.
