The development of modern phased array radars requires a multi-disciplinary approach in which the functional concept, the antenna, the electronics, and the electrical and cooling infrastructure are addressed simultaneously. In this multi-disciplinary team, the working area consists the development of new antenna and/or microwave concepts, introduction of new technologies and development of new Radar front-end designs. For our HW development engineering team, we are searching for a NPI Engineer.
About the job
In a dynamic environment, the NPI (New Product Introduction) engineer is the interface between development and the supply chain and responsible for guiding a product's transition from the design and prototyping phase to full-scale, volume production. You bridge the gap between product design and manufacturing, ensuring that products can be made efficiently and effectively in volume.
The main tasks are:
• Be the technical and logistic interface between engineering and industry;
• Overseeing manufacturing processes, developing product documentation, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with quality standards;
• Also driving continuous improvements to make new products manufacturable and cost-effective.
• Long lead items management with suppliers;
• Keep track on outstanding orders, ensure pro-active communication to the development teams on the status and progress.
What you’ll bring
• Education: Bachelor Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics Engineering;
• You are proactive and creative in finding way to shorten time-to-market and reduce cost;
• You have a background in an engineering or production environment;
• You are independent but not individual;
• You are creative, enterprising and problem solving;
• You are an enthusiastic and persistent personality with good communication skills;
• You are fluent in English.
