With approximately 200 employees, Thales SIX develops, produces, installs, and maintains both communication equipment and integrated communication systems from its location in Huizen.
About the job
In this exciting role as a Manufacturing Technician, you will be both the manager of the workshop and the executor of workshop tasks. The work is highly varied and includes sheet metal work, bench work, drilling, milling, welding, turning, and small-scale assembly tasks.
You will receive assignments from the engineers in the team, with each task being different from the last. This role offers flexibility in how you organize your work! If you are looking for a job with variety and hands-on work every day, this is the perfect role for you!
Thales SIX in Huizen includes the Hardware Engineering department, which consists of approximately 35 full-time employees.
The primary task of this department is the development of new products, both mechanical and electronic. Hardware Engineering is also responsible for production preparations.
Within Hardware Engineering, there is a workshop that supports both:
The engineering team, by creating prototype models.
The production department, by manufacturing special tools.
The workshop is a well-equipped facility with a wide range of machines for both sheet metal and machining operations.
What you’ll bring
If you are a creative, open, flexible team player with great communication skills in fluent Dutch and English, then you might be the person we are looking for.
You have at least an LBO or MBO diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
You have 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
You are able to read mechanical engineering drawings.
You have practical experience with:
Bench work, turning, milling, drilling, and cutting.
You are willing to expand your knowledge through training programs provided by Thales Netherlands B.V..
Holding a VCA certification is a plus.
