IS-IT Security Engineer LR08

Your role
You increase the cyber security maturity of our internal business development, integration, and IT environments by technically guiding environment owners in onboarding to the security services we provide, assisting them with installing and configuring required security components, adapting your support to their technical skills, and ensuring implemented controls function as intended. Additionally, you monitor and report on adoption rates and security maturity, ensuring progress aligns with the Thales objectives and identifying opportunities for further technical improvements.

What are your daily responsibilities

·         Onboarding environment owners with Windows and Linux Update tools (like WSUS and Satellite)

·         Implementing antivirus and endpoint protection throughout the organization’s IT environments

·         Onboarding and applying environment-specific settings (policies, OU’s, groups, permissions etc.) to a dedicated security Active Directory domain

·         Collaborate with and provide guidance to (technical) environment owners who require support and alignment.

·         Act as the technical link between environment owners, yourself, IT-department and the Cyber Security Office

·         Simplify and automate onboarding steps (for example through our internal services request portal), improve installation & configuration guides, runbooks, how-to’s, etc.)

·         Propose changes and work on developing & implementing new (security) services

About You

We are looking for a colleague with:

An HBO-level education or equivalent experience
A technical educational background in IT
A strong security-minded approach, with a focus on implementing and maintaining robust protection measures across IT environments
Practical experience with Active Directory (e.g., onboarding users, adjusting settings, resolving integration issues)
Experience working with Windows or Linux server environments, including troubleshooting and basic configuration
A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively within an Agile team
A customer-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
