The Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team is a central team that facilitates the business reporting and analytics needs of the Thales Netherlands organization. The team consists of various data experts who deliver relevant and adequate data and information solutions in close collaboration with business stakeholders. A part of EIM is the Business Intelligence (BI) team.

Are you a visionary IT professional with a passion for data and analytics? Do you want to play a key role in designing innovative BI solutions that enable strategic decision-making? Then we are looking for you as our new Solution Architect BI!

As a Solution Architect BI, you are responsible for the design and implementation of high-quality BI solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and other architects to translate complex data challenges into scalable and robust systems.

Your tasks include:

• Developing the technical architecture for BI solutions, aligned with business strategy

• Advising on and selecting suitable BI tools and technologies

• Documenting architectural decisions and guidelines

• Ensuring compliance with standards and best practices in data and analytics

• Acting as a sparring partner for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Collaborating with development teams, especially the BI development team and the Data Governance team

• Contributing to data governance and knowledge (documentation, system mapping)

• Server management

• A completed university (WO) or applied sciences (HBO) degree, preferably in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, such as BI Consultant, Data Architect, or Solution Architect

• Ability to create effective logical and physical data models, with knowledge of dimensional modeling

• Extensive knowledge of BI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) and data warehousing concepts

• Experience with Azure DevOps, Python, and ETL processes

• Experience as a Database Administrator

• Comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams, including IT infrastructure, software development, data science, and business intelligence, to ensure cohesive solution design and implementation

• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability

• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum, particularly in the context of delivering BI in sprints

• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English

• A proactive attitude and the drive to continuously develop yourself and others
