For its Naval System Engineering department, Thales (Hengelo) is looking for a talented Team Manager F126 IVVQ Engineering with a passion for system development and the ambition to advance his or her career within a high-tech systems environment in a management role.

As Team Manager IVVQ you manage a team responsible for the software Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification in the F126 segment. The F126 Segment develops and delivers full system integration for one of the largest Mission System programs within Thales. A team consists typically of 25-35 (junior, medior and senior) integration & test engineers and works according to a well pre-defined integration and test strategy.

A Team Manager within Thales is key in the support, servant leading and guidance of our main assets: our people. We believe in inspired people who act based upon their own motives, feelings and values. Strategies are being developed top-down and bottom-up; the team manager plays a role to connect, align, explain and inspire. We expect our team managers to coach and facilitate teams and maximize the talents within their teams.

You will be part of the Management Team of the F126 Segment and the System Engineering Discipline. Our management culture is based on trust, transparency and excellence. Together with the other team managers you are responsible for the overall department results. You contribute to and play an important part in setting up and executing our strategic plans and initiate process improvements.

• Has proven management experience in a high-tech business.

• Excels in self-reflection, has the ability to build an effective team and to develop people.

• Can balance active listening with the capability to convince people towards a common goal. Has the drive to help Thales succeed.

• Is analytically and verbally able to communicate with and balance interests of various stakeholders in the organization.

• Has a BSc or MSc degree.

• Communicates efficiently in fluent Dutch and English.

• German knowledge is a strong plus given the end-customer.
