About the team
Within the Industry department of Thales Nederland BV, the SRC (Sensors, Racks & Cabinets) department (approx. 130 people) is responsible for the assembly and testing of radar systems. The department consists of several subdepartments (APRUs), each specialized in a system and various subsystems. For our head office in Hengelo we are looking for a Manufacturing Planner for the management and support of one or more APRUs.
Your working week is varied and dynamic, with various internal collaborations, such as with APRUs, purchasing, planning and quality control. No day is the same. You attend multidisciplinary meetings, have a customer-oriented attitude and maintain the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
About the job
As Manufacturing Planner you manage the production plan for one or more systems and the associated APRUs. Together with the Activity or APRU manager you ensure a balanced division of work.
You create production orders in the ERP system and proactively monitor the progress of the production planning. In the event of changes and disruptions in the process, you respond decisively and solution-oriented. In addition, you manage internal suppliers and have daily contact with the APRUs.
Together with the Master Planner and the Industrial Work Package Manager or Supply Chain Manager, you determine the priorities in the production sequence and ensure that production orders are completed within the set time. In this role, you work together with many different people at various levels within the organization.
Due to the current socio-economic developments, Thales Nederland BV is fully engaged in the growth and development of production. Initiating and participating in improvement processes within the Supply Chain is therefore an essential part of this function.
Your tasks:
Managing the production plan.
Proactively solving production bottlenecks or working together with the right colleagues to achieve this.
Clearly communicate the progress of production orders with relevant stakeholders.
Align priorities with stakeholders, the Master Planner, Supply Chain Manager or APRU Manager.
Ensure a balanced workload in relation to capacity and strive for continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for a colleague who:
Has an MBO or HBO education, preferably in Manufacturing, Industrial or Supply Chain Management.
Experience in a production environment and familiar with the associated dynamics. Experience with complex mechanical engineering is a plus.
Has good knowledge of ERP systems.
Knowledge of or affinity with LEAN.
Communicates effectively and has an eye for detail.
Works accurately and in a structured manner.
Is proactive and assertive.
