Thales
Production/Repair Operator LR05
Say HI* to our Assembly Technician role
Within the STIR radar production and repair unit, we are responsible for the complete assembly and testing of the radar, including all electronic and mechanical subassemblies. From start to finish, the radar is assembled, tested, and validated here. You'll work in a close-knit team that combines electrical engineering, mechanics, and precision engineering.
About the job
As an assembly technician, you'll directly contribute to the quality and reliability of one of the most advanced radar systems in the world. You'll assemble electronic and mechanical components according to drawings, wiring, and schematics. You'll work closely with fellow technicians, the test engineer, and the team leader to ensure that every subassembly is ready for testing on time and without errors.
Your work is varied and requires technical insight, precision, and ownership. Using the digital shop floor system, you'll coordinate your work and determine the week's priorities together with the planner and your colleagues. We're looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, has experience with wiring, soldering, and mechanical assembly, and takes pride in the craftsmanship required to deliver high-tech quality.
For us, it's not just about technology. We work hard, but we're also a true team. We laugh together, help each other, and celebrate successes.
You'll assemble electronic and mechanical subassemblies according to drawings and work instructions. Once the components have been checked by the test engineers, you'll incorporate their feedback and correct any malfunctions or deviations. For complex issues, you'll coordinate with your team leader and, if necessary, the quality control department or the work planner.
