Thales Naval Netherlands delivers state-of-the-art Military Radar systems, market demand is strongly increasing which causes challenges throughout the total value chain.

To address these, a companywide multiyear transformation program, called Radar Ramp Up, is started early 2025.

Goal of the program is a step change towards “readiness for series production”. Scope of the program covers short term and long term process improvements and behavior changes. Timeframe is 2 to 3 years.

A cornerstone in the transformation is Configuration & Change Management. Scope is companywide process improvement and adherence based on CM2 process. Thales’ maturity level is high, progress has been made in terms of content and implementation of improvements. However, end-to-end alignment of started initiatives, implementation in the products and process adherence throughout the value chain needs improvement.

For this purpose the Thales Ramp Program is in search of an energetic, experienced & knowledgeable Sr. Project Manager who will take the lead together with the current team members to realize these goals.


 

About the job

Key elements of the assignment will be:

·       Clarify current status of improvement initiatives & continue implementation. This comprises basically 2 initiatives which are: CM2 improvement and product baseline introduction.

Starting point are current plans, scope covers all aspects like content, competence development and process adherence, so is to be considered as a company wide transformation.

·       Introduction of product baselines has started for a specific product but needs to be continued for other products as well.This has to be done as a rework action for engineering since manufacturing is already in progress.

·       Considering that improvements need to be implemented and impact on the running projects need to managed and minimized, it is likely that help requests from projects pop up.

Part of the assignment is to support the projects in case adherence to the newly introduced configuration management principles conflicts with project needs like meeting required delivery dates etc.



What you’ll bring

·       You have > 10 years experience as project, change & transformation manager in high-tech product development & industry.

o   You have experience in product development & engineering in the high-tech domain.

o   You have experience with implementation of organizational changes, preferably based on a change management methodology like ADKAR, Kotter’s 8 step leading change.

·       You have proven competence in application of principles of configuration management in engineering, like baselining, management of changes through CCB.

o   You have a good understanding of product development process, e.g. V-model and configuration management based on CM2 framework. You also are familiar with concepts EtO-CtO, E-BOM, M-BOM etc.

o   You have experience with PLM/PDM systems, e.g. because of involvement in implementation and/or use of a PDM/PLM system, preferably Windchill or similar.

·       You have an MSc degree in beta sciences, preferably engineering.
