With a team of 450+ colleagues within the Supply Chain, we deliver on time high-technology systems to our customers without any compromise on quality. About the job
As a change leader you are directly connected to Thales Industrial strategy and stand for being a key stakeholder in building the Thales of the future. Your time as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer is, for the major part, spent on the floor working with the operational manager and her/his team to deploy Lean methods and tools in order to improve the performance. You pay specific attention to keep the operational team onboard and maintaining a trustful relationship with the management.
Throughout the week, you also join the frequent team meetings to share successes, difficulties or to work together on technical topics. Your agenda is also quite busy with meeting your project stakeholders to maintain alignment using your helicopter view abilities.Acting as a project leader, you play an important role in accelerating the transformation of the Supply Chain organization. As every shop floor environment is different, you like complexity and spending time to solve problems in order to implement Lean in the most efficient way for the operational teams, always focusing on customer satisfaction. The main tasks are:
Analyze current situation and propose future state according to the Lean industrial strategy
Implement, together with the operational teams, Lean Standards
Develop Lean skills of the operational teams by coaching and training them
Active participation to the Improvement Team life and propose ways to improve
What you’ll bring
We are looking for a teammate who preferably has a (industrial related) master degree. In terms of experience, it will be appreciated if you already have experienced Lean implementation in an industrial environment but our first concern is your drive for making things move forward. One of your goals is to continue to develop yourself, you are willing to learn and to work in a demanding context.You are familiar with the Lean manufacturing system and people often praise you for your communication abilities. You speak fluent English and you are open-minded in adopting new styles of working. Plus, you have :
Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing pillars : Just In Time, Jidoka
Knowledge concerning lean tools and methods : Kanban, Andon, Pulled flow, Kaizen, VSM, SIM, A3 problem solving
Knowledge of industrial standards : Planning, Logistics, ERP
Experience in project management
